Some of us, probably most of us are getting just a bit churned up when we keep hearing and reading about greedy bankers taking ever bigger bonuses and now it's greedy local authority bosses paying themselves more than the prime minister for doing a not always very good job. (I wonder if there is an inverse correlation between their performance and their pay) Take 10 minutes of your (precious) time and watch this clip on what motivates people. If you aren't one of the 4.5 million that have watched it, it will surprise you, plus you will be more than impressed by the quality of the artwork.

If you reflect, it does make sense, and actually we've always known it. Churches and other charities grow because thousands of people pump so much of their hard won discretionary time into them. They do a day job then wear themselves out running youth clubs or Bible study groups. I think it's a reason why our little business is one of the best in the whole world. We don't pay what we should but every member of staff is incredibly motivated. Even when we think it might be time for someone to move on, they refuse to go. They lash themselves to their desks and say with Luther, 'Here we stand, we can do no other!' until we give up. Getting back to these greedy bankers and local authority chiefs and any others to whom money seems to be such an issue, let's be clear. Money doesn't motivate them, greed does. Which probably means they aren't the right people to do the job. To be earning a couple of hundred thou and making a decision to close down the local library or day centre probably means they lack basic competence. They are lucky we aren't Egypt or we'd be burning down their offices, often too close to marbled palaces for comfort. Come on Cameron, at least give us the means to vote these people out who do so little for so much.

MiranI've been browsing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.
